We went to The Boathouse for brunch, which was another of my favourite brunches here. The place was just absolutely adorable with fresh produce in bins outside, fresh flowers everywhere and a lovely deck that would have been great on another day.
Here's the beach walking up to The Boathouse. I love the green, lush hills on the other side of the water.
Here's the outside of The Boathouse.
And our lovely brunch. I got poached eggs with bacon on sourdough - standard for me. The girls got green eggs and ham which had pesto - a delicious combination!
Originally, we were planning on walking around the peninsula, up to the lighthouse at the end. However, the wind was really so aggressive that we found a nice secluded place on the beach and relaxed for a couple hours.
Kali got this lovely little vanilla cake from The Boathouse, which we enjoyed on the beach.
The next day, Freya, Dani and I did a walk in Balmoral, which is on the north shore. It was a lovely little walk that took us through some woods and out to great views of the city.
This is at the top of the walk, we ended up down in the bay where that big ship is.
Good thing I spent plenty of time outside during the days, because all I did at night all weekend was watch Eurovision 2012!!!!!!!!
Stay tuned to hear about that...
