A Beautiful Weekend

This weekend was gorgeous here in Sydney - sunny and clear blue skies, for the most part! On Saturday, I met Nancy, Whitney and Christina at Bondi Beach for the day.

Then we wandered over to Surry Hills to walk around and grab some dinner. We ended up going to an Italian restaurant called Pizza e Birra - delicious!!! Walked across this school, which I thought was beautiful in the late afternoon sun.

I slept for 11.5 hours on Saturday night with the daylight savings change...woops. We fell back since I'm on the other side of the world. This will probably be the only year ever that I'll have 1 spring forward and 2 fall backs! I better come back to Sydney later this year to get my second spring forward.

On Sunday, I met up with Whitney and her friend Warwick to walk around The Rocks markets and then the Opera House and Botanical Gardens.

If you look VERY closely in this photo, you'll see colorful birds called rainbow lorikeets - they look like parrots.

Then, we walked over to Hyde Park to meet up with Nancy. This park is beautiful and has many cool trees.

Next, we walked over to Darlinghurst to go to the infamous gelato store - Messina. Nancy and Whitney are super serious about their gelato:

Then, we walked over to Rushcutters Bay, a very cute park and cove with many boats.

A wonderful Sunday walking around the city!
