Easter Weekend: Part 1

This weekend was Easter and in Australia, we have both the Friday and Monday of Easter weekend off - woohoo! On Friday, I went to brunch with some girlfriends at Robocog in the neighborhood of Surry Hills. I had a delicious flat white (my coffee of choice here and simply amazing) and the eggs benny (poached eggs, spinach, bacon on sourdough with hollandaise sauce).

Then, we walked around a bit. As I mentioned previously, Surry Hills is charming and is known for their terrace houses.

We walked across the city to Mrs. Macquarie's chair, by the botanical gardens, with a great view of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. Apparently I had some difficulties taking photos this day, my fingers were all over the shutter.

We walked to St. Mary's Cathedral by Hyde Park, which is beautiful. There was a Good Friday mass about to happen - literally a packed house. I love this church and plan to go back to get see the inside better when there aren't so many people inside.

Just as I walked to the train, Pilar called me and picked me up! She drove over to Watsons Bay, which is the most northwest peninsula of the city. Beautiful views as we enjoyed a beer.

Another beautiful day in Sydney!
